Hi there — it’s great to meet you. My name is Stephanie. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and the Founder and Clinical Director of Clear Mind Counseling. I’m part of the San Diego therapy team, where we provide thoughtful, evidence-based care to individuals and couples seeking meaningful change.
With a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and executive coaching. Since 2008, I’ve had the privilege of supporting more than 3,000 clients as they work toward healthier patterns of thinking, behavior, and connection.
My work in CBT helps individuals and couples create lasting change by identifying and shifting unhelpful thought patterns, while my use of SFT empowers clients to draw on their existing strengths to move forward with clarity and confidence.
Beyond my clinical work, I’m deeply invested in the growth and integrity of the psychotherapy field. I’m passionate about mentoring and supporting the therapists I supervise, and about creating a practice culture that prioritizes high-quality care, collaboration, and genuine human connection.

MY PHILOSOPHY ON THE THERAPEUTIC EXPERIENCE AND CHANGE
Changing the way we act affects the way we feel and the way we view ourselves. Said differently, action precedes insight. If we only fixate on the root causes of our challenges and always question why we behave as we do, then all we’re really doing is stagnating and avoiding the changes needed to improve ourselves.

My style is casual, engaging, and approachable because trust between a patient and therapist is built through genuine interactions, honesty, and transparency. I encourage positive change in a kind and gentle manner yet can also be very direct when necessary.
