Whatever you’re going through, you don’t have to face it alone.
My name is Emma, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. It is truly an honor to support individuals who are seeking to better understand themselves and improve both their inner and outer worlds through reflection, insight, skill-building, and—most importantly—a safe, supportive space to explore the many layers of the human experience.
Because every client’s story is unique, my approach to therapy is collaborative, flexible, and integrative. At the heart of my work, I am a Person-Centered therapist, offering empathy, understanding, and a nonjudgmental environment. I also draw from a range of evidence-based modalities—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy—to provide clients with practical tools, perspective, and support for meaningful, lasting change.
Therapy is a partnership. We will work together at a pace that feels right for you, checking in regularly to ensure our sessions remain supportive, productive, and aligned with your goals.
I work with clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and have extensive experience supporting members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
My goal is to help you cultivate greater clarity, peace, and fulfillment within yourself, your relationships, and your life as a whole. I am here to support you through the hard moments, celebrate your growth, and walk alongside you as you move toward improved mental health and well-being.

MY PHILOSOPHY ON THE THERAPEUTIC EXPERIENCE AND CHANGE
When we shift the way we think, we have the power to transform the way we feel.
As your therapist, I will be your guide, to assist you in analyzing the patterns in your thinking that are perpetuating unwanted feelings and damaging behaviors. Additionally, we will empower you to recognize that YOU are in control of your life, that you can choose to adopt better habits and life practices, regardless of your ongoing thoughts and emotions. In other words, insight and action work best hand in hand—understanding why something happens is empowering, but learning how to respond differently is often what leads to the lasting changes people are seeking.
To assist clients with developing better insight and understanding, I utilize strategies from CBT. To assist clients with developing greater tolerance for and acceptance of difficult emotions and circumstances, I pull from modalities such as DBT and ACT. As a team, we will collaboratively create a personalized “toolbox” of skills that you can feel confident using in between our sessions, to manage life’s challenges. Depending on your specific goals and needs, I will also integrate interventions from various modalities, such as Narrative Therapy or Solution Focused Therapy, incorporating the pieces that are most relevant and helpful to you seamlessly into our sessions.
Meaningful change can only occur within a therapeutic setting where clients feel genuinely understood, respected, and accepted, and therefore my therapeutic style is warm, empathetic, and personable. My clients describe me as someone who they feel truly safe with, someone who cultivates a comfortable and relaxed environment where they can be open and vulnerable.
Ensuring a good fit between therapist and client is crucial for successful therapy. We offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if we're a good match. Taking this FIRST step to seek support is important, and we are honored to guide you on your path towards healing and personal growth.
